Victoria Yau: Near the Edge of Your Soul: SF Art Fair 2025

A young lad asked, "How do I view the art works while living so far away?"
The elderly person answered, "Close your eyes, pretend you are blind."
The young lad questioned again, "If I don't have eyesight, how can I have a view?"
The elderly person answered, "View them with your soul–
As if a blind man found his own visual expedition."
The young lad closed his eyes and sighed, "I see nothing. It seems empty. It seems familiar."
The elderly person answered comfortingly, "It seems familiar to you
because it is always there
near the edge of your soul.
The vast emptiness has no boundary, no limit.
Like the water, dancing in the vast emptiness.
Like the water, touching the distant shore.
As if it touched your soul
each time...each wave...
