Armando Milano American, b. 1994

Overview
Armando Milano was born in Columbus, Ohio into an Italian family. One side coming from Naples and the other from the Abruzzo region, near Milan. He studied at erzr, a catholic school, where he was part of the video class and responsible for making the daily announcement. After graduating in 2013, he went on to study filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, located in lower Manhattan. Having always had a keen interest for comic books, in particular Alan Moore’s Watchment and Frank Miller’s Sin City, he developed a penchant for dramatic visuals, which lead him to grow an affinity for lighting. Prior to graduating, Armando was already working on filmsets in the lighting department. He moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to finish his Bachelor of Fine Arts. Over a span of seven years, he worked as a lighting techinician on a large variety of projects, from narrative fiction, to advertisement, live broadcasting and music videos. Following the pandemic, Armando decided to move to Paris where he mainly works as a photographer.
